Thinking of Thoughtful Branches

Thinking of Thoughtful Branches

Today is August 20. You have only 11 more days to order the Thoughtful Branches stamp set. Or, if you are very clever, order the Thoughtful Branches Bundle. You will save 10% and get a BONUS from me. You will love this set. Here’s my latest card using this set.

Card Notes:

If you want to make a clean and simple card, this is it. I realized that of all the stamps in the set, I had not used the smallish leaf. I’ve seen other cards using that leaf in beautiful patterns and color combinations. I decided to revert to one of my favorite color combinations, blue and gray. I chose Island Indigo for the blue shade and Smoky Slate and Basic Gray for the grays. After I stamped, I popped it up on the piece of Island Indigo with some Stampin’ Dimensionals and I was essentially done.

So, don’t you want that set now? Remember, if you buy the Thoughtful Branches bundle I will send you a packet of materials and directions to make 3 cards using the bundle. Here’s what the stamps and Thinlits look like.

If you order on my 24-07 on-line store, please be sure to NOT select “No Contact”. If you do select “NO Contact” I will not receive you name address, etc. Then I won’t be able to send you your packet. That would be sad.
Oh and if you order on line, be sure to use the Hostess code for this month – DNZQNXUW. You might win some extra goodies if you do!

Hope you are having a good weekend.

Swap at Sea

Swap at Sea

Today is the first full day of the cruise and we are at sea. This morning we are participating in a swap. I thought you might like to see my swap. I used a new stamp set, Love & Affection, new specialty designer paper called Affectionately Yours. Oh yes, and the new Copper Embossing Powder – love it!

cruise swap

I needed to make 26 of these. Note that there are four flowers that are  heat embossed, fussy cut and Wink of Stella added to each one. By the way – do the math – that’s 104 flowers! Not the most detailed project I’ve ever done but more than I had originally planned.

Here’s the whole group.

The Wink of Stella is such a nice touch for cards. it doesn’t always show up too well when you take a picture. I did a double layer of Wink of Stella on this card and then did a close up of one of the flowers so that you could see it.

Isn’t it beautiful? It’s so easy to use and dries very quickly. Get some!

Hope you are having a great day.

Don’t be Wishy – Washi!

Don’t be Wishy – Washi!

Did you figure out what this post is about from the title? Washi was the big hint. One of the items on this week’s deals is Washi Tape! Here are all the deals.

I do love the Washi Tape. Here’s a quick card I put together to show you some of the versatility of Washi Tape.

Obviously, you can use Washi Tape to create a border or diagonal line on your cards or scrap book page. But, you can also use it to create a new, coordinating paper. All I did was put a few small strips of Washi Tape on a scrap of Whisper White Card Stock, making sure to line them up. Then I used my Elegant Butterfly Punch on the Washi’d scrap as if it were ‘just’ paper and ….instant coordination!

Here are all of the materials I used for this card. Oh and remember, until Friday, all stamp sets are 15% off! Yea!!!

Thanks for stopping by and remember there is still time to qualify for a raffle ticket in my Customer Appreciation Raffle. Purchase $50 or more on line to qualify for a ticket. Winner received 20% off on an on-line order in November.
